I am staying at an All Star resort but am attending a wedding at the Grand Floridian. What transportation is available? How long of a ride is it?

    Katherine,

How much fun! Weddings at Walt Disney World are so special, for the special couple as well as for family and friends!

The easiest way with Disney Transportation to get from the All-Star resorts to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is to take the bus from your resort hotel to the Magic Kingdom, then you will board the monorail that will take you to the Grand Floridian.

The bus ride should take about 20 minutes, but remember that the bus may not be just sitting there waiting for you at your resort. It can be up to 20 minutes between bus visits, so plan accordingly.

After you get off your bus outside of the Magic Kingdom, it is a short walk (1/4 mile, 4/10 of a kilometer) to the monorail station. The ride from there should only take about 10 minutes. There is also a boat launch, but the frequency can be spotty, so stick to the air-conditioned monorail ride.

All told, I would give yourself a minimum of an hour to get from your resort hotel to the wedding. It is certainly not an event you want to be late for!

    BONUS TIP
If you decide to get there early, consider meeting some friends at the Enchanted Rose on the 2nd floor of the Grand Floridian Resort lobby. This elegant lounge is perfect for you and your friends when you are all dressed up!
