Hi Timothy,
Welcome to planDisney! Disney World
no longer requires theme park reservations if you purchased a date-based single-day ticket or a date-based multi-day ticket. If you purchased an Annual Pass, student group ticket, Disney Military Salute Ticket, or Sport and Convention ticket, you will need to make theme park reservations in your My Disney account ahead of your visit.
Regardless of which type of ticket you purchased, I recommend going ahead and linking everything in your
My Disney Experience app prior to your trip. With the My Disney Experience app in hand, you’ll have the enchanted key to unlock everything you need, from park tickets to your resort hotel room and even Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering. It’s like having your very own Genie to help you plan your adventure!
First, download the My Disney Experience app! You will either log in or create an account if you’re new to the magic. Simply click the three stacked lines in the bottom right corner, select "My Tickets & Passes," and tap the plus sign in the top right corner to "Link Tickets & Passes." Add your ticket confirmation number, and voilà! Your digital tickets are ready to whisk you through the park gates faster than Cinderella’s carriage ride to the ball. At the entrance, just have your digital ticket scanned.
With the app at your fingertips, don’t miss the
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering feature, it’s a true lifesaver when you're busy racing through the parks like Lightning McQueen. This tool lets you choose a pickup time, order your meal, and pay, all while waiting in line for your next magical adventure. When you arrive at the restaurant, tap the button to indicate you're there, and your meal will be prepared faster than Remy whipping up a ratatouille! Grab a table with your crew, then pick up your freshly prepared meal as soon as you receive your notification. It’s the perfect way to keep your energy up for your next enchanting moment.
For those “must-do” attractions, take advantage of
Lightning Lane passes to minimize wait times and maximize your fun. Since you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you’ll get a head start with priority access to purchase these passes 7 days before your arrival. This gives you a fairy-tale advantage to hop on rides like Slinky Dog Dash, Avatar Flight of Passage, or Rise of the Resistance!
Happy Planning,
Jenna
