You can absolutely pay for your
Disney hotel balance with Disney Gift Cards. I do this every time I stay with my family. You can visit the front desk when you arrive to let the Cast Member know you will be paying your balance with a gift card, and they will make a note. I visit the front desk the night before I check out and pay for the balance then, before my credit cards are charged for my MagicBand purchases during my stay.
Did you know that you can also consolidate your Disney Gift Cards to make larger purchases? You can link up to six cards when you create your account on the
official Disney Gift Card website and then you can move the amounts over to the card or cards you will be using to make your purchases.
