Staying @ AS Sports & have 8:05 ADR @ Cinderella's Castle 9/20. What's the fastest method of transportation? (Or should we drive to MK?) What's the earliest we can enter the park? We'd love non-crowded Castle family pics!

Hi, Tricia! Thanks for bringing us a very interesting question. Typically, I recommend to my friends staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel that they should utilize the complimentary Disney bus transportation to the parks as much as possible, especially when traveling to Magic Kingdom Park. In my experience, it takes significantly longer to enter this park when I have driven my own car versus when I have taken the bus. This is because Disney transportation drops off Guests right at the entrance to Magic Kingdom Park, whereas all others must park at the Transportation and Ticket Center, then take the monorail, ferry or bus to reach the park entrance. This can be time-consuming and I would hate for you to miss one minute of magical memories.

In our many experiences with pre-park opening breakfasts, we have been admitted to the park about 15 minutes early, giving us the opportunity to take personal or Disney PhotoPass pictures anywhere in the Main Street, U.S.A., area, the Castle hub area, and a small area directly behind Cinderella Castle until Magic Kingdom Park opens. You are more than welcome to pick your favorite spot in any of these areas and take pictures. This is usually a great time to get a lovely picture of the family, practically perfect for a holiday card.

No matter how you arrive, Tricia, I hope you have a practically perfect day at Magic Kingdom Park. Please let us know if you have any further questions as you continue to plan your visit.
