Hi Linda, and welcome to planDisney! Exploring the other
Disney Resort hotels is a fun way to check out the unique theming and visit the different lounges and restaurants.
Parking at Disney Resort hotels is reserved for overnight guests and visitors with a dining reservation. Those coming for a meal are sometimes limited to three hours of parking, especially at resort hotels on the monorail or near EPCOT. When one of my friends parked at the
BoardWalk to eat breakfast at
The Cake Bake Shop this week, she was given a three-hour parking pass to display on her car’s dashboard.
However, here are some other places you can park if you’d like to visit these resort hotels… and a few recommendations for when you’re there!
For the Grand Floridian, you can park at the Transportation & Ticket Center and take the
monorail over. It runs 30 minutes before Magic Kingdom opens until one hour after the park closes. I love a good monorail bar crawl, stopping at
Outer Rim at the
Contemporary,
Enchanted Rose at
Grand Floridian, and
Trader Sam’s at the
Polynesian. The exclusive tiki mugs at Trader Sam’s are some of my favorite Disney World souvenirs!
For the BoardWalk, you could park at Hollywood Studios and walk (as long as you plan to come and go during the park’s regular hours) or park at Disney Springs and take a resort bus from there. On the boardwalk, I love to rent a
Surrey bike or visit the nearby
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Mini Golf during the day. At night, it’s fun to stop into
AbracadaBar or watch the street performers outside on the boardwalk.
Since you’re a Disney Resort hotel guest, don’t forget that you get
complimentary water park admission on check-in day in 2025. This is a great way to maximize the magic during your stay… and cool off during the warmer months!
I hope you have a pixie-dusted visit to Disney World! And if you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
