Staying at the shades of green can I walk to polynesian and take monorail to epcot

Hi Elizabeth! I am so glad you found your way to planDisney to ask your question!

While I haven’t stayed at Shades of Green, I do have friends who have, so I tapped into their expertise to bring you an answer.

Looking at the Walt Disney World property maps can make things look much closer than they actually are. And even when they ARE close together, there are often no sidewalks or paths to make walking between them safe.

So, your answer to your question is no, you cannot walk to Disney's Polynesian Village from Shades of Green.
I do have some good news, however. You CAN get to EPCOT in a couple of different ways. If you have your heart set on taking the monorail, you can take a bus from Shades of Green to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and then transfer to the EPCOT monorail. You also can simply take a bus from Shades of Green directly to EPCOT.

Once you are at EPCOT, you might consider heading out the International Gateway (between the UK and France) and taking a ride on the Skyliner. This runs from EPCOT to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with stops at Disney’s Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Art of Animation & Pop Century Resorts. There are some great restaurants you could plan to lunch at along the way as well. Recently I enjoyed a Croque Monsieur at Primo Piatto at Disney’s Riviera Resort.

I hope this helps with your vacation planning. Please come back to planDisney if you have other questions.

    Happy Traveling,
    Tracy
