we are staying at the shades of green resort. can we walk to the Polynesian resort to take the monorail to get to MK and Epcot? Or would it just be faster to take the bus provided by shades of green? and where does the bus drop you off at MK and Epocot?

    Hi Erin,

The Shades of Green resort is gorgeous! While I have not stayed there myself, I have visited friends staying there a few times, and I can easily tell you that you are much better taking the provided bus to your desired Disney park.

The walk from the Shades of Green to the Polynesian is actually much further than it looks, and given both of the resorts locations, along a busy road leading in and out of the Magic Kingdom resort area, there is no safe path for you to take. The resorts are not situated along any type of walkway that would connect one to the other and in some areas there is no concrete sidewalk or path that I have ever seen.

The buses will most likely operate a very similar schedule as the monorail and therefore even if you could walk to the monorail area, it will take you longer than if you had waited for your Shades of Green bus. The buses transport guests to the bus unloading zone near the main entrance to the parks. You will have a short walk to security and the admission turnstiles but it is fairly close to the entrance.

Hope this helps and enjoy your stay!
