We are staying at Shades of Green from Jan 10 thru 20 and we purchased 10 day tickets with park hopper thru them. After Jan 9 Annual Passes and dated tickets will no longer need park reservations. How does that affect us?

Hi there, Gilles! Welcome back to planDisney!

I'm so excited to hear that you're making plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort in January! In my opinion, there's no better way to ring in the new year than a vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth. I'd love to help you plan for your extra special trip!

Gilles, like you, I'm so excited about all of the announcements and updates for what we can expect in Walt Disney World Resort next year. One big change is the fact that theme park reservations are no longer required for date-based tickets beginning on January 9, 2024. Since Disney Military Salute Tickets purchased through Shades of Green are not date-based, my best estimation is that you will still need to make theme park reservations with the Disney Park Pass system for your upcoming visit. Take a look at the "Visiting on or After January 9, 2024" section on the Theme Park Reservations page! When speaking with a Cast Member, I was told that we should be receiving more updates about tickets and theme park reservations towards the end of the year. I'd recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for everything you can expect leading up to your trip!

Before you arrive, be sure that you've linked the tickets to your My Disney Experience account and assigned them to the Guests in your travel party! Then, you're free to make your theme park reservations with the Disney Park Pass system. Of course, if you have any other questions, please write to us again!

You've got a friend in me!
