Hiya, Michael! Welcome to planDisney!
First of all, let me truly thank you for your service. As a military spouse, I know that service members and their families understand the meaning of commitment and sacrifice. There's nothing better than quality time, and I can't think of a better place to spend that time together than at
Walt Disney World Resort! I'm so glad you've chosen to be our Guest, Michael.
It looks like you're arriving in just a few days and I couldn't be more excited for you! However, when looking at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar, it looks like there isn't
Disney Park Pass availability for the dates of your trip. Michael, I'm so sorry about this. While staying at Shades of Green doesn't offer new Theme Park Reservation availability, I think I have two next steps that you can take.
First, I would
call a Cast Member at (407) 934-7639 at your earliest convenience. A little like fairy godparents, they always try to stretch their magic wands as far as they can reach for their Guests. While nothing is ever guaranteed, they'll be able to hear your situation and let you know what options are available to you. If you happen to have any flexibility with your dates, they will even be able to help you to modify the dates of your trip. If you do decide to call a Cast Member, I have a couple of tips! Try calling right when phone lines open at 7:00 AM EST to have the shortest wait times on the phone. Also, have a little extra patience! Cast Members' help has been in high demand and they work hard to make every Guest's day the BEST. DAY. EVER! I'm sure a friendly voice and some extra kindness will be warmly welcomed.
Second, I would keep checking back on the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar several times a day, if possible. Guests' plans can sometimes shift and change, opening up more availability. If you see a park open up, you'll want to scoop it up quickly! I'm sending you all the faith, trust, and pixie dust that this happens for you, Michael.
If you'd like to keep your reservation at Shades of Green (and use your tickets at another time), there are also plenty of opportunities outside of the parks for magical and memorable experiences! Take some time to explore
Disney's Boardwalk, for example. Get some magical libations at
AbracadaBar or a decadent milkshake at the
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop to-go window! If you take some time to explore Disney Springs, make sure to stop by
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' and you won't want to miss the peanut butter cold brew and some half-pound cookies at
Gideon's Bakehouse! My absolute favorite resort is Disney's Wilderness Lodge which feels both grand and enchanting at the same time.
Mobile order a meal from
Geyser Point To Go through your
My Disney Experience app and sit by the outdoor waterfall for a truly memorable experience!
Best wishes!
Michelle
