We're staying at Saratoga Springs and are wondering if we should rent a car given that it's kind of far from the parks. We thought maybe we could take a taxi if necessary, but then what do we do about a car seat for our 2 1/2 year old?

    Hi Simone,

We just stayed at Saratoga Springs, for the first time, this past October and had a great time. We too were initially concerned about the distance from the resort to the parks and considered renting a car. I am very glad we did not. We found the Disney buses to be just as dependable and easy to use as our stays at other WDW properties. The distance was not a problem and we did see any noticeable difference in how long it took to get to the parks or back to the resort. A taxi would be easy to get from the front entrance of the resort if you would want, but we never had a situation where that was needed.

One of the great things about Saratoga Springs, is the easy accessibility to Downtown Disney. We often walked or took the boat there for dinner or late night shopping. We did not experience any problems getting around without a car and in the end was happy to leave the driving to the Disney Cast Members and have one less thing to worry about during our stay.

    Enjoy,
    Margaret
