We’re staying at Saratoga Springs and have reservations to O’hanas at the Poly. What’s the fastest way there since the monorail isn’t stopping at the Poly?

    Hello Molly!

Dinner at ‘Ohana is a great choice and is a perennial family favorite of many Disney Guests. Now that you have me thinking about it, I could go for some potstickers and noodles, and oh boy, do I love that bread pudding for dessert! Going for breakfast? Make sure to try the press pot of 100% Kona coffee with your Mickey waffles!

If you’ll be coming from Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, you have a few different options. If you are looking for the fastest route, using a rideshare like Uber or Lyft, or taking a taxi will always be your quickest transportation. If you are going for an early breakfast reservation, this would be my recommended route since overall resort transportation may not be running early enough for your reservation.

If you prefer to use Disney’s complimentary transportation you should allow yourself 90 minutes to get from resort to resort. I would recommend taking a bus from Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa to the Magic Kingdom. From Magic Kingdom, you have three options, the ferry, water taxi, or Monorail. If the ferry is on its way to Magic Kingdom, this is likely going to be the fastest. Take the ferry back to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and from there, follow the walking path to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Alternately, you can take the Monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center and make the same walk. If your legs are just tired from all the fun in the parks and you prefer less walking, or you see the boat returning to the dock, you can take the water taxi from Magic Kingdom. The water taxi will stop at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa first, and then continue to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

While it may take longer, other options would be taking a bus to either Epcot or Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and transferring to a bus to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. This is perhaps the easiest, but it will take longer.

I hope this helps as you look at your options, Molly! If time is your number one concern, I always vote for an inexpensive taxi or rideshare. If this can be a leisurely journey, I think the boat options are the most fun!

    Happy Planning!
