we are staying at Saratoga Springs this Oct. and we have a 8:10 resi at Beach Club. What is the best route? Magic Kingdom opens at 8, the other parks at 9.

    Hi Karen!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! Sounds like perhaps you are planning to enjoy Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast at Cape May Cafe?  I’d hate for you to be late to meet Beach Goofy or miss out on your Mickey waffles, so let’s talk about your transportation options. It can be a bit complex to get from one resort hotel to another before park opening.

The most efficient way to travel from Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa to Disney’s Beach Club will be to hire your own taxi. While this will have a cost, it should get you to your breakfast quickly and easily. The actual driving time from resort to resort is probably in the 15 minute range. This is what I would do in this situation. You can ask the valet at the front desk of your resort to call you a reliable taxi company.

Your other option is to try to use the bus system. Since Magic Kingdom is opening at 8 A.M. on the morning of your reservation, buses to the Magic Kingdom should begin running around 6:30 A.M. I advise you to double check the actual time with the front desk the night before, since there are occasional variations. Be sure to tell them it is for an Advance Dining Reservation, as that bus is a different time than if you just ask for the earliest bus. After arrival at the Magic Kingdom, you’ll need to get on a bus to Disney’s Beach Club, Disney’s Yacht Club or Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, since you can easily walk from any of these to Disney’s Beach Club. My concern is that you may have difficulty getting a bus to one of those resorts at that time of the morning. I would leave yourself 60 to 90 minutes for this method.

I hope that helps you with your planning, Karen. Breakfast at Cape May Cafe is an experience filled with character and is the perfect start to a day at Epcot. I hope your family has a delicious and delightful time!
