Hey there, Sarah and welcome back to planDisney! Sarah, as excited as Hercules was to be reunited with his winged pal, Pegasus, that's how we feel when a guest returns to us with another great question!
Sarah, as a Disney Vacation Club Member I feel like
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, with its gorgeous grounds and nod to Disney's equine friends, is a bit of a hidden gem and I'm excited for you to experience this resort.
Let's first talk about your
room location. If you have a room booked in the
preferred category you will either be in The Springs section which is closest to the Carriage House (and
The Artist's Palette) or you will be in the Congress Park section which is the closest to the walkway connecting this resort to
Disney Springs. Both of these areas are convenient to a bus stop and each have a dedicated pool. Sarah, instead of the leisure pool, I'm partial to the
High Rock Spring Pool with its water slide and whirlpool spas. This is found in The Springs section.
Now, if you have a
standard room booked you'll be in The Grandstand, The Paddock, or The Carousel section, each with their own dedicated bus stop. Personally, in this category, I would request buildings 8101-8436 or 8501- 8836 in The Grandstand section or 5101-5436 or 5501- 5836 in The Paddock section. These rooms are closes to the leisure pool in The Grandstand section or
The Paddock Pool in The Paddock section. Both are also convenient to their respective bus stops. You can also take a look at
this interactive map to get a better feel of the layout of this resort.
Sarah, you'll notice that I have mentioned bus stops already a few times. From this property,
Disney Bus Transportation will be the easiest way to access all four theme parks unless you're planning to use a ride share service. Before you request a room location, take a look at this answer from my fellow panelist,
Kate about the order of
bus stops at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.
Finally, Sarah, one of my favorite features of this property is its proximity to Disney Springs. If you find yourself as hungry as a horse, you need only gallop a few lengths to one of the great dining options at Disney Springs.
Sarah, I hope this helps as you're looking ahead to June. I actually have a trip planned to Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa to kick off summer with my best girlfriends and hope you're as excited as I am to return to the Magic. Please come on back and see us with any other questions you might have.
