I am staying on property at WDW this summer. I want to take advantage of early morning entry. Does every person in the party need to show a room key or do we get in as a group as long as we have valid park entry tickets

Hi there, Jenifer! Welcome to planDisney! It’s a wonderful day to stop by for some Walt Disney World Resort vacation information and we are so excited that you are here!

My family and I have made it our mission to stay at each and every one of the resorts within the Disney Resorts Collection! We love the intricate level of storytelling that goes into each resort as well as the world-class customer service we experience during our stays. Additionally, Guests staying with the Disney Resorts Collection can look forward to a variety of other perks! These include closer proximity to the theme parks, complimentary Disney Transportation, extended access when booking your advanced dining reservations, and much more!

One of the most exciting perks announced earlier this year is the addition of extra time in the theme parks for Guests staying with the Disney Resorts Collection! Later this year, Guests will be able to enter any of the four theme parks up to 30 minutes prior to the official opening time every single day of the week. This allows much more flexibility with planning while also promoting physical distancing across the theme parks. It is important to keep in mind that the official start date of this perk has not been announced so you will want to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information on its release!

When taking advantage of these perks, your “access” is typically linked to your My Disney Experience account. This means that any person listed on your Disney Resort hotel reservation will have this information attached to their theme park ticket. So, whenever you go to enter the theme parks, the Cast Member will be able to see if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel whenever you scan your individual theme park tickets that are required for entry. This means no additional scanning or verifying will be needed once you have scanned your theme park tickets at the entrance.

I hope you and your family have a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort this summer! Be sure to let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as well!
