Hi, Nicola! I have two daughters that have never shared a bed well, so I understand your concern. There are
Pack 'n Play sleepers available for guests, as well as a few cribs. These cribs do fit a standard-size crib mattress, so your toddler should fit in it well if that is what she is used to using. However, the cribs are in very limited supply, so I would like to suggest some other ideas to help you feel more confident in your sleeping arrangements.
One of my favorite features available at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is a pull-down bed found in Alligator Bayou section guest rooms. I am not sure which room type you have booked, but if you have booked a Royal Guest Room, skip down to my next suggestion as those rooms do not offer this option. The pull-down bed is perfectly sized for your five-year-old princess. Your toddler could claim one of the queen beds as her throne, which can be fitted with bed rails. You will need to
call in to Disney Resort Reservations to have a request for bed rails added to your reservation. While speaking with them, be sure to request a room with the pull-down bed, but please understand this is only a request and cannot be guaranteed.
Another option you have is to rent a crib or toddler bed. There are several companies that specialize in baby and toddler gear rentals. I frequently used A Baby's Best Friend when my daughter was younger and always had great experiences with them. The majority of the rental companies will deliver and retrieve items from Walt Disney World Resort hotels at no additional cost.
I hope one of these suggestions provide you with not only peace of mind, but also peaceful sleep during your upcoming holiday! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
