Hi Delilah!
Welcome back to planDisney! We're so happy that you've stopped by to be our guest again! As my friend
Kay shared before, you'll love
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside! I stayed there several years ago and really enjoyed being able to take a
boat ride to Disney Springs as well as playing on the waterslide at
Ol' Man Island. Did you know you can also enjoy
fishing and campfires at the resort? One of my favorite tips is to stroll over to
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter (about a 15-minute walk) and grab some Mickey-shaped beignets from
Scats Cats Club - Café. Since your vacation begins tomorrow, let's waste no time looking at your transportation options!
Guests staying in the Disney Resorts Collection have a variety of
resort transportation options available depending on your location. From Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, bus transportation is available for each of the four theme parks.
Disney Bus Transportation begins running approximately 45 minutes before
Early Theme Park Entry for each park. For example, if the park opens at 8:00 AM, early entry will be at 7:30 AM which means that you can expect buses to begin their routes around 6:45 AM. Buses will run continuously throughout the day, but depending on what time you arrive at your stop, you may be waiting a few minutes for the next bus. You can view the estimated arrival time of the next bus in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App when you click on your resort information! Bus transportation will take you closer to the front entrance of the parks than parking and you have the convenience of leaving the driving to Mickey!
As a guest staying in the Disney Resorts Collection, you also enjoy
complimentary overnight parking at your resort and complimentary standard parking at the theme parks, which means that driving is a pretty easy option as well. In fact, if you want to upgrade to preferred parking at the theme parks, you only have to pay the difference between the two rates. While Disney bus transportation will get you to the parks in plenty of time to enjoy early entry, you can be in even more control of your arrival and departure times at the park without waiting on buses. If you do drive, I recommend using the
car locator feature in the My Disney Experience Mobile App so you easily remember where you park!
Delilah, there is no wrong way to get to the magic that awaits you at each of the parks. I hope this helps you choose the best transportation option for you! Please stop by to see us again at planDisney with any other questions!
Cheers,
Kristi
