Staying at Port Orleans Riverside May 2019. Very excited. Stayed before but this is my first visit with my grandson, aged four and his mum, my daughter. I’m a little worried about the buses as the reviews have not been complementary, how regular are they

    Dear Tanya,

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning ahead for your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

My family and I never bring a car to the Walt Disney World Resort, so we are very accustomed to taking Disney transportation, including buses, boats, ferries, and of course the monorail! Buses are scheduled to arrive approximately every 20 minutes, but there are times when they arrive more or less frequently depending on multiple factors. Usually the number of times that we don't wait more than a few minutes for a bus and the times when we feel that we have waited longer than expected for a bus seem to even out. When we are waiting, we usually chat about our day, what we would like to plan to do or if we are on the way home, about what we enjoyed most that day! It makes the time fly.

In terms of bus service directly from your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, there is a great option right on your My Disney Experience app! You can check exactly when the next bus to your chosen destination is scheduled to arrive. It's so convenient and easy, and it helps us to plan when exactly we should be headed out of our room and to the bus stop.

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
