Welcome aboard, Cory! My family and I always try to combine our Disney Cruise Line adventures with a stay at the Walt Disney World Resort before we set sail too! I love to squeeze in as much Disney magic as I can! Disney makes it so easy to transition from land to sea and back again!
Have you booked
Disney Cruise Line's ground transfers yet? They offer transfers from the resorts at Walt Disney World to Port Canaveral. We love letting them do the planning so all we have to do is show up for a relaxing ride to the ship. If you have these booked ($35 per person each way), you'll receive a notice in your resort room the night before you set sail which will let you know what time your bags need to be ready and what time to meet for your transfers. Usually, our bags have been picked up about 8:00 a.m. from our resort room. We haven't needed to be there, as long as the DCL tags are on the bags. Magically, they've made their way from the resort to meet us in our stateroom onboard the ship later that day. We keep a day bag with us as we enjoy the resort for the morning and then meet the motorcoach for our ride to the ship. The pick up times vary, based on number of guests each time, but can be anywhere from 11:00 a.m to around 1:00 p.m., but you'll find out your exact time the night before. Then, enjoy a nice hour-long ride as you watch some Disney Cruise Line videos and classic Disney cartoons. Before you know it, you'll be driving over that last bridge with the first view of your Disney ship in the distance! So exciting!
No need to worry about an exact
Port Arrival Time if you're using Disney's transfers, so go ahead and just choose one around 1:00 or so. Even if you arrive before or after, you'll be all set to check in.
Have a wonderful sailing, Cory!
