We are staying at the Port of Orleans - French Quarter, next week. I would like to know if my husband is able to fish on any of the Disney' properties with his own rod and reel?

    Hi Jennifer!

It is awesome that you are inquiring about fishing for your husband, as it will be a great adventure for him. Yes, he will be able to fish using his own rod and reel (although the cost is the same). You do not need an advanced reservation, which makes it a spontaneous activity. There are two locations to choose from; Dockside fishing at the Fishin' Hole at Old Man Island at Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside or Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

You can also reserve a guided fishing excursion as well, and those are available at marinas throughout Walt Disney World. To make a reservation for the guided excursion, you can call (407)939-BASS or submit a BASS Reservation Form online.

You can also find out more information about Walt Disney World Fishing on their website.

REMINDER: All fishing at Walt Disney World is catch-and-release only.

Enjoy and have a magical time!
