We're staying @ Port Orleans French Quarter & driving our own car. We want to eat @ Grand Floridian, the Poly, The Boardwalk, & AKL. Would it be faster to drive our car? Are there time restrictions or other rules on parking when dining?

Hello there, Chelsea! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for submitting another wonderful Walt Disney World Resort question!

It seems as though you have a scrumptious selection of dining locations picked out for your upcoming trip! All of these Disney Resort hotels host some of my personal favorite dining locations. Creating advanced dining reservations at these Disney Resort hotels will also give you the perfect opportunity to explore the gorgeous grounds and theming found at these stunning resorts!

Compared to the complimentary Disney Transportation, it will likely be quicker to drive your own vehicle when dining at other Disney Resort hotels. The main reason for this is the fact that there are no complimentary Disney Transportation modes that go directly from one Disney Resort hotel to another. So, it can take a bit of time to arrive at your dining location if this is the route you decide to take!

As for parking at Disney Resort hotels, Guests are allowed to self-park free of charge at any Disney Resort hotel in order to enjoy select dining, recreation, shopping, and entertainment experiences. However, Guests may not park their vehicle at a Disney Resort hotel in order to visit theme parks or other attractions outside of the designated Disney Resort hotel. As long as you are enjoying a resort’s amenities, you will be free to park and have a good time!

Have fun continuing to plan for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
