Bonjour, Thomas! It sounds like you have a fantastic holiday trip coming up soon!
When translated into English,
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie literally means "the halls of bread and pastry." It gets its name from the famous fresh food market in the heart of Paris, which was sadly demolished in 1971. Nestled into the back of
Epcot's France Pavilion, Les Halles actually opens with the Park at 9:00 AM, unlike the majority of restaurants in the World Showcase, which don't open until 11:00 AM. This quick-service location is well known for it's authentic Parisian- style early morning eats; I'm partial to the Quiche Lorraine with Jambon (ham) and Gruyere cheese, and my kids go crazy over the Pain
au Chocolat. Make sure to ask to have your items warmed up, and don't forget to order a steaming Latte, perfect for a Florida "winter" morning!
Although you mentioned wanting to enter the Park through the International Gateway, the Walt Disney World Resort
bus service only drops off guests at the front entrance of Epcot. The easiest way would be to enter the Park this way and walk back to the World Showcase, which will probably take you about 15 minutes once you're through the turnstiles. If you want to treat yourself, then spring for a
Minnie Van from your resort, which will get you to your destination in a jiffy! You'll have to take it to
Disney's Beach Club Resort, which is a five-minute stroll from the International Gateway. Either way, just follow your nose!
Bon appétit, Thomas!
