We are staying at the Port Orleans-Riverside and having breakfast that morning at the Whispering Canyon Cafe and can’t wait! But, what is the best way to get from the wilderness lodge to the fort wilderness resort for the fort wilderness archery?

    Hi Joseph!

Welcome to planDisney!  As my friend Princess Tiana would say, you're almost there. . .almost to that Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  And it looks like you'll be goin' down the bayou when you stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside!  I loved staying at this resort with its beautiful trees and peaceful ambiance.  Plus, the swimming pool at Ol' Man Island will be the perfect place to cool off on those hot summer days!

Joseph, resort hopping is a fantastic way to spend a day outside of the parks.  While Port Orleans - Riverside has some amazing recreational activities and dining locations, so do many of the other resorts!  Whispering Canyon Cafe is such a fun (and delicious!) choice for breakfast!  Depending on what time your breakfast reservation is, you can take the bus from Port Orleans to Magic Kingdom Park and then take the boat to Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  After your breakfast, you can again hop a boat from Wilderness Lodge over to Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground for your archery reservation - what a great morning!

If you have any extra time during your visit to Fort Wilderness, you may also want to check out other recreational activities such as fishing, kayaking, and canoe rentals.  Tri-Circle-D Ranch is a popular stop at Fort Wilderness where you can meet Cinderella's ponies as well as horses from Main Street, U.S.A.  You can even enjoy a wagon ride or horseback riding too!

Joseph, I hope you enjoy your morning exploring Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Campground!  If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop by and see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!

    See ya real soon!
    Kristi
