Hi. Staying at PORS in April. I do not like seafood, but really want to try the St. Louis Gooey Butter cake at Boatwright's Dining Hall. Can I go in and just order one to go instead of making a reservation and only getting dessert? Thank you!

Oh, Kim, you had me at butter. Wow, all I am thinking about right now is the ooey, gooey, buttery richness of that St. Louis Gooey Butter Cake! We're not going to get into how amazing the bourbon sauce is and how it soaks right into the ... Sorry, Kim. You sure asked the right question at the wrong time. I may have just burned my dinner thinking about that cake. I wonder if Princess Tiana could help me whip up a proper dinner now?

So, an Advance Dining Reservation stands in your way of enjoying this goodness? Don't fret a bit about reserving a spot at Boatwright's Dining Hall just for a dessert. The Cast Members really will not mind you popping in for just that. There are guests who do it often, especially at Be Our Guest Restaurant for a taste of the gray stuff (psst, I spoke with the dishes and they agree the St. Louis Gooey Butter Cake is more delicious!). Table Service dining locations at Walt Disney World Resort are really not equipped to do take-out orders, so it's perfectly fine to order what makes you happy.

If you decide you are a bit too hungry for just dessert, there are some other outstanding dishes on the menu that do not contain seafood. There's prime rib, barbecue ribs, a New York Strip steak, and chicken and dumplings just to name a few. Some of these dishes are listed with side dishes that contain seafood. These sides can be substituted for any other side. You can also talk with the Cast Member serving you and let them know you do not care for seafood. The chefs at all of the Walt Disney World Resort dining locations are very helpful in modifying dishes to suite guests' needs.

Kim, if you'll excuse me now, I've got to raid my pantry and see if I have some ingredients to make my own gooey butter cake. You have got me craving one! Thanks for stopping by and let us know if we can help you again.
