Staying at the POR in their Royal Riverside room-first time, usually stay at Deluxe. 1)What is the best room location to request that is closest to the Food Court and transportation? 2) And can you tell me how long it takes by boat to get to Raglan Road?

    Hi Mary,

How exciting to be staying in a Royal Guest Room for the first time during your upcoming vacation! I have personally stayed in one of the beautifully appointed Royal Guest Rooms and loved the attention to detail found throughout the entire room. Of the two buildings featuring Royal Guest Rooms, Oak Manor (Building 90) is closest to the Riverside Mill Food Court, pools, marina and bus depots. However, during both of my stays at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, our room was located in Parterre Place. I honestly did not find the walk to be very long and actually enjoyed walking along the Sassagoula River to reach the main areas. I did want to mention that room requests are accepted, but are not guaranteed.

I would allow approximately 20 minutes to reach the Downtown Disney area when traveling by ferryboat. After arriving to the boat launch at Downtown Disney, be sure to factor in extra time to reach Raglan Road.

I hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to visit us again with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a magical trip, Mary!

    Happy Travels,
    Jodie
