    Staying at POR, want to rent a car 1 day to visit family. My ?s are: Easier to rent at Dolphin or Car Care Center? Which transportation to use to get to that facility? Not sure of return time that evening, so will there be trans back to our resort late?

    Hi Lori,

    I would head to the Dolphin. My husband did this and it was so easy to return the car and then meet up with us.

    To get to the Dolphin, take the bus from POR to Disney's Hollywood Studios. You can then either walk or take a boat ride to the Dolphin to pick up your car rental.

    As for getting back to POR, I would check the park hours for both Disney's Hollywood Studios and Downtown Disney. Buses run one hour after the closing of these attractions so that is the latest you can return your car and take a free ride back to POR. If for example, Disney's Hollywood Studios closes at 9:00 you need to be back to the bus depot by 10:00 pm. If this is too early, then check out the closing time at Downtown Disney.

    The Car Care Center has no means of free Disney transportation so you would need to take a taxi.

    PS Call the car rental agencies for pricing. I find them to be more reasonable to strike a bargain on the phone.
