We are staying at POR in March. How can we do dinner at the boardwalk and then make it to Epcot for illuminations?

    Hi Caroline!

It sounds like you're making great progress on creating some plans for your vacation!

The best way to travel to the Boardwalk from Port Orleans Riverside will be to take a bus from your resort to Hollywood Studios. Once there, proceed to the boat launch area outside of the park gates (no ticket needed) and float over to the Boardwalk. There is also a walking path, if you need to build up your appetite!

Enjoy a meal and some time exploring the Boardwalk, and when you're ready, head over to the International Gateway of Epcot. It is at the far end of the Boardwalk and Beach & Yacht Club walkways. There you will enter Epcot between the U.K. and France pavilions. Find a great spot along the water and enjoy Illuminations!

I would plan on about an hour for dinner plus some additional time to explore the Boardwalk before heading to Epcot. For Illuminations, I'd suggest arriving to find your viewing spot about 30 to 45 minutes prior to the show.

To head back to your resort at the end of the night, you can either use the Epcot buses directly to Port Orleans Riverside, retrace your steps at Hollywood Studios (if the park is still open) or take a bus from the Boardwalk or Beach & Yacht Clubs to Downtown Disney. From Downtown Disney use the boat or bus transportation to your resort.

Hope this helps! Have a great trip!
