We will be staying at POR, getting there on 8/19. First time at this hotel. Just realized there is no elevators. When do you think I should call to request a room on the first floor since 2 of my kids are still in strollers and might fall asleep.

Hi, Christine! I would call reservations today, and have the Cast Member note your request on your reservation.  He or she will explain that you request is not guaranteed but that every effort will be made to honor it. Then, you should call Port Orleans Riverside Resort seven to ten days before your arrival to confirm your request has been received.  You can reach them at 407-934-5000.  This is when they are figuring out the room assignments for upcoming arrivals, so it is a great time to make sure your request is noted.  Upon arrival, confirm with the Cast Member at Check-in before he or she issues your Key to the World cards that your room is on the first floor, if at possible. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
