Staying at POR - first time on property. Can you bring food poolside and have a picnic while kids swim?

Yes. There is a snack bar directly next to the Port Orleans Riverside pool where you can get some very basic items. Or you are welcome to bring food to the pool from the food court.

A few things to keep in mind:

    - Glass containers are not allowed anywhere in the the pools areas at WDW

    - You may not have food directly next to the water, but you are welcome to have a meal at the lounge chairs or tables that are scattered around the pool grounds.

Enjoy your stay at Walt Disney World.
