We are staying @ POR in December of this yr & have ADR for Hoop Dee Doo on 12/8. What is the best way to get there from our resort? We have "category 2" seating, is that a good place to view the show? Luv Mom's Panel!!

    Howdy Sue,

The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review is such a blast!  You're going to have a good ol' time (and enjoy some delicious vittles)!

If you're using Disney transportation, the best way to get there would be to take the bus from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside to Magic Kingdom, and from there, it's just a short boat ride away to get to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground for the show.  Look for the boat launch outside the park that is marked for that hotel on the overhead sign.  That boat will transport you directly to the Settlement Area, which is where the show is held in Pioneer Hall.  From your hotel to dinner, I'd allow up to 90 minutes, just to be sure you arrive on time and don't miss any of the fun!  If you'd like a quicker, more direct route, a cab ride is another option.  It's about a 10-minute ride and I wouldn't expect it to cost more than $10-15 each way.

After the show, if you're heading back to your hotel, there are sometimes buses available to take you directly from Fort Wilderness.  Just ask a Cast Member if those are running the night you're there.  If not, you can always head back to Magic Kingdom and catch transportation back to your hotel from there or cab it back.

In terms of seating, I don't think there's a bad seat in the house!  For an idea of where you'll be sitting, you can take a look at the floor plan at the bottom of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review page.  With Category 2, you'll either be in the center of the balcony on the second level or on the first level behind Category 1.

Wishing you a knee-slapping good time, Sue!

    Beth

    P.S. We love you, too!
