    We are staying at POP in early June. We'd like to venture off Disney property for one day. How readily available are cabs at the resort? Would I need to call one, or do they stand by? Thanks!

    Cabs are very readily in the WDW area. There are often cabs waiting at the resorts. If there is not one there when you need it, you could ask the desk of your hotel to call you one. This should only take five to ten minutes. You could also call in advance if you were concerned about having a cab available at a specific time. We have often called the front desk of our hotel during the evening to arrange for a cab for the next morning. If you are looking to venture far off Disney property, you might look into a car service rather than a cab. One of the largest in the area is Mears. Their information can be found at
