We are staying at POP Century on our trip, and have a diabetic in our group who requires insulin. Will we be required to pay for a mini-fridge, or is there someone we could talk to to get this fee waived? (BTW, your forum is a planner's dream come true!)

I have traveled before as an insulin dependent diabetic, and it has been my experience that if you let the hotel know when you arrive that you need a small refrigerator to store the insulin, they have provided it at no cost.  I also let them know when I make my reservation that I have a medical need for a refrigerator, so it is noted before I arrive at the hotel.

You can also get a sharps container for your syringes and your lancets.  You can ask at the front desk when you check in, or just call housekeeping when you get to your room.
