Hey there Jennifer!
Welcome to planDisney. You so totally rock for bringing us your question!
I love resort hopping to explore all the different theming, décor and food available across Walt Disney World Resort hotels. There are so many unique options to choose from I consider my resort hopping adventures equal parts fun and excellent research for future stays.
While resort amenities such as pools and playgrounds are reserved for registered hotel guests, you are more than welcome to walk around and explore the resort grounds at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. In fact, it's just a short walk from
Disney's Pop Century Resort. We love visiting Art of Animation and snapping photos with the larger-than-life character statues, particularly in the Cars section. If you'd like to take advantage of
The Big Blue Pool (the largest on Walt Disney World Resort property) or Schoolyard Spray ground you can
contact a Cast Member to inquire about switching your resort reservation.
If your little squirt is looking to burn some energy they can take advantage of the
playground in the 70s area at Disney's Pop Century Resort. You'll find this outside
Everything POP Shopping & Dining near the resort's bus stops. While you're there be sure to snap a photo with the giant Mickey telephone or Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head - two of my favorite photo ops at the resort.
Jennifer, did you know your stay at Pop Century puts you just a
Disney Skyliner ride away from the fun at both Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT? As a Disney Resorts Collection hotel guest you'll even be able to take advantage of
Early Theme Park Entry on each day of your visit with valid admission and park reservation. You can sail your way toward the fun faster than a trip on the East Australian current and I bet you'll be saying "woaaaah" just like everyone's favorite sea turtle Crush all the way there. Just be sure to find your exit buddy when it's time to disembark your gondola.
I'm wishing you a totally righteous trip! Come back and see us again with any other planning questions you might have. We'd love to help.
"Fin. Noggin'. Dude,"
Amy
