Hiya Sarah,
Thanks for stopping back at planDisney. Not that much longer before you will be in the middle of
The World's Most Magical Celebration! There are so many new and exciting things to enjoy at Walt Disney World Resort, including one of our family's favorites, the nighttime
Beacons of Magic. On select evenings, the theme park icons are magically transformed into spectacular canvases of lights and images. Pictures do not come close to capturing how amazing and breathtaking this is. Grab a snack or cold beverage and enjoy. It is a perfect way to end your day at the theme park.
I love your plan for trying to squeeze every last minute of Walt Disney World magic before it is time to head home. I do not think there is any better place to soak up extra pixie dust than
Magic Kingdom, but first you must store all that luggage. Where is Mary Poppins and her magic bag when you need it? You can definitely stop by the Bell Services counter at
Disney's Pop Century Resort and they will be happy to store your luggage until your departure time. However, you must be a registered guest at that Walt Disney World Resort to utilize their luggage storage services, so you will not be able to leave your items at a resort closer to Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom does offer
locker rentals at the entrance to the park. This could be an option for you depending on the size of your suitcases. The typical locker sizes are small (12" x 10" x17") and large (15.5" x 13" x 17"). There is a jumbo option available at Magic Kingdom, which is 17" x 22" x 26". The lockers are easy to rent and can be paid for at a self-service kiosk with cash (U.S. currency) and any major credit card. However, if you pack like I do, my suitcases would not fit in these lockers, so this may not be the best option. My suggestion would be to leave your luggage with the friendly Bell Services Cast Members at Pop Century and retrieve the items from there before heading home. Lyft allows you to add an additional stop to a trip, so my choice would be to walk over to the Contemporary Resort and grab a Lyft, indicating a stop to grab your luggage and then on to the airport. You could also handle as two separate Lyft rentals and give yourself a chance to grab a few more snacks from the
Everything POP Food Court.
Hope this helps. Be sure
to stop back and see me if you have any additional vacation planning questions. Wishing you a magical time!
With pixie dust,
Margaret
