We are staying at Pop Century in May/June. I would like to have a room on the 4th floor facing Hourglass Lake. Some rooms views are obstructed by trees, etc. Can I put a request in for a specific room? I've looked at views online and know a few.

Hiya Mandy and welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you brought your question to us today.

I'm thrilled to hear that you'll be staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort this May! This is one of my favorite resorts to call "home" during my Walt Disney World Resort vacations. This resort will give you access to the Disney Skyliner, which provides beautiful aerial views as you are gently transported to EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios.

There's nothing better than the anticipation of an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation and I can often be found researching pictures of my hotel or menus of restaurants before any trip. It sounds like, in all the joy of planning, you've fallen in love with Hourglass Lake and are hoping for a room with a view! I'm happy to let you know that you can absolutely make a request for your desired location.

A great way to make specific room requests is to contact a Cast Member through the Chat feature in the My Disney Experience app. When you open the app, click the icon that looks like three stacked bars in the bottom right corner. Scroll down and tap the box that says Chat With Us. My advice is to give as many options for the Cast Member as you can! While you might have one or two specific room numbers that you're hoping for, the Cast Member may be most able to accommodate your requests if you speak more broadly. Letting them know that you're hoping for a 4th floor view facing Hourglass Lake is a great place to start! You could also call the Cast Members at Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and they will be happy to make a note of your request. Once you arrive at Disney's Pop Century Resort, it might also be helpful to remind the Cast Member at the front desk of your preferences.

Please know that, while they will do everything they can to accommodate your requests, Cast Members can't always guarantee specific rooms. But fear not! No matter the outcome, the incredible Cast Members are always doing their best to make every Guest's day the BEST. DAY. EVER! Sometimes they're able to sprinkle pixie dust on your reservation, and sometimes their magic wands can't quite reach that far. But Mandy, I can tell you from experience that I've found new favorites and hidden gems in those rare instances that my room requests couldn't be met. I know that a memorable trip awaits you and you'll find magical moments around every corner!

Also, I have more good news for you! Disney's Pop Century Resort is considered a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. You may be asking yourself, why is that good news? I'd love to tell you! Guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels can also magically enter the parks 30 minutes early! This is just one of the many benefits of staying in an onsite resort. From the moment you wake up until you rest your head at night, you're completely immersed in the magic!

Mandy, please let us know if you have any other questions. You've got a friend in me!

    Your Fairy Godmother in planning,
    Michelle
