Staying at Pop Century. Does the front desk have an exact schedule of what time all the buses will arrive? How often do they run?

There is no bus schedule at Disney like you might find with a city bus system. You're not going to find a piece of paper that says something like "9:33 pick up at Pop Century heading to the Magic Kingdom."  The only time indication anyone at Disney will tell you is "about every 20 minutes."

In my experience, the time between buses varies considerably. During peak times, they may run certain bus routes every 7-10 minutes. At park closing time, buses may come even every 2-3 minutes. At slower times, it might be more like every 25 minutes. And even if the buses are running perfectly, things may happen that put temporary hiccups in the system. I've sometimes seen a bus arrive in a timely fashion, but then an ECV-bound guest needs to board and cannot line up their vehicle with the loading ramp. Then the boarding process that should take 2 minutes takes 10, and things slow down. The driver can call and request additional service at a location, but it might take a few cycles to self-correct.

My family almost never rents cars at WDW, and we've been to WDW A LOT, so I'm very familiar with the bus system. Is it perfect? No. Does it get you where you want to go in clean, safe, free, relatively efficient way. Yes. Once in a while, I have waited longer than I would have liked. And once in a while, buses are crowded. But the VAST majority of the time, it all runs smoothly and I am grateful that I can leave the driving to someone else during my vacation.
