Hi Megan! Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
December is such an amazing time to visit Walt Disney World Resort! Everywhere you look there are beautiful holiday decorations designed to specifically reflect the atmosphere of each theme park area or resort hotel. And don't forget to listen closely: you'll also hear Christmas music that is unique to each particular area as well.
Complimentary transportation between
Disney's Pop Century Resort (one of my favorites -- I am a
huge fan of the recent room redesign!) and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and
Magic Kingdom Park will be by
bus. I would plan to be at your resort's bus stop at least an hour prior to the time you'd like to arrive to allow time to wait for the next bus in addition to the actual travel time, which is around 15 - 20 minutes.
If you will have a car with you, you might consider driving to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Road signs clearly mark where you should head and it is very easy to find your way around.
As Jodie mentioned, it is more efficient to travel by bus when heading to Magic Kingdom Park, as the bus will drop you off in an area near the entrance gates to the park.
For the most efficient service and a really fun ride, check out
Disney's Minnie Van service. These cute polka-dotted vehicles are driven by professional and knowledgeable Disney Cast Members, and provide door-to-door service. You may request and pay for a Minnie Van through the Lyft app.
I hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions as you
plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Enjoy!
Anne Marie
