Welcome to planDisney, Heather! I can't wait for your family to dive into your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation this week. May is one of my favorite times to visit the parks, and it's an ideal season to plan a pool day. Let's look at keeping your little prince safe while he splashes his way through the magic.
I chatted with a whistle-wearing Cast Member who said most swimming pools at Disney Resort Hotels have a variety of life vests available for guests to use on a first-come basis. The smallest size is labeled "Infant Child" and is designed for wee ones under 30 pounds.
I recently stayed at
Disney's Pop Century Resort and saw a large stand holding these soft-foam vests; plenty appeared to be available. Guests can choose the jackets they need and return them when they leave the pool. You're also welcome to bring along your own vest if you're concerned about fit.
I assume the infant size is the most popular, so my tip is to secure yours as soon as possible on your pool day. Your little guy will have a blast! For an extra festive experience, head to the
Hippy Dippy Pool and look for the kiddie pool nearby.
The
Disney Skyliner is the crowning jewel of this resort. When my family climbs aboard a gondola and soars above the treetops, we feel like we're on the best attraction at the parks! On my next visit, I plan to book a dining reservation at
Sebastians's Bistro at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, a quick Skyliner ride away.
Heather, I hope you have a splashtastic visit! Please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
