We are staying at the Polynesian in September and our stay is for 2 weeks. I don't want to pack a huge amount of clothes (we have 2 kids, 6yr and 18mo). Is there a place to do laundry - ie. laundromat or do I have to count on hotel services for laundry?

Hi Ane! You're much more practical than me -- I always pack a huge amount of clothes! Even so, I still needed to do laundry the last time I stayed at the Polynesian Resort. The Polynesian has a laundry room with change-operated washers and dryers, located in the vicinity of the Never Land Club, if I remember correctly. You'll pay a couple of dollars per load, and you can also purchase detergent there, but it's definitely more cost-effective if you bring some from home. The laundry room is located fairly close to the quiet pool so I relaxed poolside while I waited for our clothes to wash and dry.   (I stayed in a longhouse not too far from the laundry room, but it could be quite a hike from some of the longhouses. If you'll have a lot of clothes to wash and your room isn't close by, you might want to use your rolling suitcase to transport them to and from the laundry room.)

The Polynesian also has a laundry service -- you can pay per item to have your clothes cleaned for you. It's pricey if you have a lot of laundry, but is a nice luxury if you don't want to spend part of your vacation washing clothes.
