We will be staying at the Polynesian Resort and I was wondering if there is a place to charge an ECV scooter overnight, not knowing what room location we will be given. Thank you for your help.

    Hi Eric,

Bringing your ECV or renting one locally is a great option to make Walt Disney World more accessible and comfortable for your trip! The great news is that Disney is well-equipped to handle charging them along your adventures.

While you are out and about at the theme parks, you have several options for charging your ECV. The best of those options in my opinion is to stop of one of the designated Relations Stations throughout the theme parks. These are areas that feature places to sit and relax while also charging any device that may be running low on batteries. They often offer shaded areas to escape the heat as well.  You can find these on the map in your My Disney Experience App but as a heads up, my favorite ones are the Tomorrowland Terrace at Magic Kingdom, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Hollywood Studios, and near Mission Space at EPCOT.  Charging is also available outside most restaurants and near Guest Relations locations.

Once you head back to the Polynesian Village Resort, you will have ample time to charge that ECV while you also relax and recharge. The rooms are equipped with enough plugs to be able to charge your ECV. You may need to move a few things around so that the room does not feel cramped but this is done regularly so the front desk will be able to give the best advice on where to position it in your room at night.  If maneuvering it into your room seems like a huge task many people simply plug it into the nearest outlet in the hallway outside of their room for the evening. I recommend confirming with the front desk that there is no issue doing this for your specific room location to make sure that you are complying with fire codes and that it is not in anyone's way!

    Happy Planning
