We're staying at the Polynesian and are planning a day just to hang out at the resort. We have dinner reservations for the Kona Cafe. Other than the pool is there anything else to do with kids at the resort itself without leaving the grounds?

    Hi Karen!

Absolutely! There are lots of activities at the Polynesian that you can check out on your resort day!

First, be sure to get an activities calendar when you check in. This calendar will list things like Hula Dancing Lessons, the Torch Lighting Ceremony which occurs most nights, crafts and activities at the Never Land Club and Movies on the beach. These are just a small sampling of the events that occur at the resort.

Next up is the resort marina: Mikala Canoe Club. The small Sea Raycers are a fun way to check out the waterways near the resort! The beach area is near the pool and a fun place to spend some time too. Check out the hammocks for a place to relax!

If you have any video game addicts in your family - like I do - the arcade is small, but always fun.

Of course, a great way to wrap up an evening is watching Wishes and the Electrical Water Pageant from the Polynesian beach.

    Hope you have fun! Aloha!
