Aloha Marisa,
We just returned from Aulani for Christmas, so I'm super excited (and a bit jelly!) that you will experience the island vibe in just a few weeks at the 'World.
The Polynesian has undergone a magical transformation over the past few years, and boy, is it gorgeous! There is a brand-new zero-entry pool, and the terrace gardens in the
Island Tower are stunning. There is also
a delicious new restaurant with breathtaking views of Cinderella's Castle. I hear the sticky pork ribs are delicious, and you must try the pineapple-coconut bread at breakfast.
But! Maui didn't just create this vibe with his good looks, and he's not quite finished yet. You are correct that the Tuvalu building is closest to the new Island Tower, so it was close to expansion magic for quite a while. But now that the tower is complete, there isn't as much of a presence. Construction throughout the
Resort is slated to continue through 2026, so be prepared for possible modifications while you are there. Disney has promised to minimize disruptions; anything noisy will occur after 9 am.
Mahalo for your question, Marisa. Feel free to sail back with any additional questions you have. Grab a Dole Whip for me during your stay!
