Aloha Kimberly!
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question today! Two weeks at Disney's Polynesian Resort? That sounds totally AMAZING! As much as I'd love to forget ALL about dirty clothes when I'm at Walt Disney World, with my 3 active (and messy) sons, I usually end up doing laundry at least once every trip. Thankfully, Disney makes it pretty quick and easy to get this done so you can be back to enjoying the magic as soon as possible.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, like every Disney Resort hotel, has
self-service laundry facilities available on-site. Just look for that near Lilo's Playhouse. Laundry detergent and fabric softener is available for purchase from the vending machines in the laundry room, and many of the gift shops also have those available to buy there. Personally, I like to pack some detergent pods from home in a small Ziploc bag when I travel. That way, I have exactly the brand I prefer on-hand if and when I need it.
Now, doing laundry when you're on vacation will never be f
un, but a few months ago some nifty new upgrades were made to all the laundry facilities on property that I'm kind of excited to try. First, all the washers, dryers and vending machines now accept credit card payments. Also, all the machines were switched out and are now self-reporting, which means you can find out via text message or the web when your laundry cycles are complete. You can even check to see if there are any available washers and dryers in the facility (or how much time is remaining on each machine) before you even head to the laundry room. Just visit www.laundryview.com/disneyworld and choose your Disney Resort hotel for that information.
I hope that helps, Kimberly! Wishing you many more loads of pixie dust than loads of laundry on your vacation!
