    Staying at Polynesian in May with my 2 and 5 y.o. daughters. I heard that some of the rooms can be noisy during the luaus and that the resort is quite spread out. Is there a bldg that you could recommend (centrally located yet quite w/ garden view)?

    Marni,

    There are a few places within Polynesian where noise can be an issue. But the Luau is only one consideration. The rooms in the southernmost buildings that face the south also have a noise problem, in that during peak afternoon nap time you can hear the noise from the nearby Disney World Speedway.

    First off, call the hotel directly 10 days out from your arrival date (the Polynesian is 407-824-2000) and tell them that you want a room that does not face the parking lot (takes care of the speedway noise). Then ask for a room in the following buildings;

    • Tokelau
    • Tahiti
    • Niue
    • Samoa
    The last one might get pool noise, so you may want to pass on it as well.

    I hope that this helps! If you need more advice, please ask me directly by visiting my bio page!

    Have a magical vacation!
