We are staying at the Polynesian and are looking at doing breakfast at the Riviera. Is this still a tricky thing to do in the morning using Disney transportation if we wanted an 8am or 8:30 reservation?

    Hi Megan!

    Welcome to planDisney!

While it could be doable to take the complimentary Disney transportation to make it to the Riviera for a breakfast reservation, you’re right that it can be a little tricky!

Your best bet would be to take the bus from the Polynesian to Hollywood Studios, then hop on the Skyliner to get over to Riviera. The time the buses will start running, though, will all be dependent on when Hollywood Studios opens. The busses usually start about an hour before the listed Early Entry time.

Since you would need a couple of modes of transportation if you decide to go that route, I’d give yourself plenty of time to make the trip. I’d personally plan to leave about an hour and a half before the breakfast reservation at the absolute latest.

If you have your heart set on an early breakfast at Riviera (I’m thinking you may be talking about Topolino’s Terrace…which is amazing, so I get it!), I recommend booking a Minnie Van through the Lyft app. The Minnie Van will be able to pick you up at the Polynesian and take you directly to Riviera. In that case, it would be less than a 15-minute drive.

A Minnie Van can fit 6 people and includes up to 2 car seats. The morning hours can be a popular time to use Minnie Vans, so plan to book it early that day!

Hopefully, that gives you some guidance as you plan out your day! Let us know if you have any other questions!
