Hi Jessica, welcome home and welcome to planDisney! A stay at the Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows sounds amazing, I’m so happy for you and your family. This addition to a classic
Disney Vacation Club Resort is still on my bucket list and I hope to stay there soon, but for now let’s talk about navigating transportation at the Resort!
Jessica, the
Island Tower does not have its own dedicated transportation stops. If you’ve stayed at the Polynesian before, you’ll know then that the
bus stops will be located at the front of the Great Ceremonial House and that you’ll have to take the elevator up to the second floor for the
monorail. As for
boat transportation, you’ll find the boat launch just down the beach right on the Seven Seas Lagoon. The ferries often alternate between two types, one of which allows you to roll a scooter right in. Jessica, you’ll be happy to know that the Island Tower does have its own dedicated lobby and porte-cochere, which should make check in a breeze for you and your family.
While you’re there at the Island Tower, I sure hope you visit
Wailulu Bar & Grill! It’s currently one of my favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World! There’s nothing like enjoying authentic Polynesian cuisine while taking in the sights and sounds of the Seven Seas Lagoon. If you’re lucky, you may even catch Magic Kingdom fireworks!
