We are staying at the Polynesian . I am interested in having the hotel do my laundry . We have laundry sensitive skin that needs perfume free/dye free laundry detergent and Dryer sheets . Is there an option this? I know there is self service laundry

Hey, Beth! This is such a great question, so I am glad you stopped by to chat with us today! I was able to tour the Walt Disney World Resort laundry services last year and was thoroughly amazed at how much laundry they clean in a single day at that facility! I was in awe while watching dozens after dozens of huge bags full of linens glide past us and deposit their treasures into the largest washing machines I had ever seen (jealous!). If you want to be thoroughly amazed, consider the machines that quickly fold each individual washcloth and towel with such ease that my teenager was ready to put her hard-earned money down for one! It is truly an amazing and quite busy facility.

I just spoke with lots of Cast Members in many different departments at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and have some information to share with you. Considering what I saw at the Resort's laundry facilities, it is no surprise that they actually send the valet laundry items out to a third party. Each person I spoke with stated that you could write on the valet ticket that you wished for perfume-free/dye-free cleaners to be used and maybe include your cell phone number for them to call if there are any issues. They all recommended, and I also do as well, that if skin sensitivity is a big worry for you, then it may be best if you plan to use the laundry facilities at the resort and bring your detergent from home. My younger daughter has issues with eczema at times and changes in detergent is a trigger for her. To keep everyone's skin happy in The Most Magical Place on Earth, you may want to plan a day away from the parks to enjoy your resort and do a few loads of laundry while hanging out at the pool. I usually do this once or twice during our stays and it really does not take that long! The wash cycles are very short and I am usually done in just a tad over an hour.

I hope this helps you plan for your upcoming visit! Please feel free to stop by if you have any other questions!
