Hi We are staying at the poly and for the first time on the monorail. have made a reservation at chef mickeys and the 1900 park fare. How long will it take to get from the poly to these resorts? what is the route? will we have to change transportation?

Hi Beth! You're going to love the convenience of staying on the monorail line! It's so easy to hop on the monorail at the Polynesian and arrive at the Magic Kingdom or the nearby Contemporary and Grand Floridian resorts in mere minutes!

The monorail essentially travels in a circle: from the Polynesian, the first stop is next door at the Grand Floridian, then the Magic Kingdom, then the Contemporary Resort, followed by the Transportation and Ticket Center before arriving back at the Polynesian. To travel this loop, you do not have to switch trains or modes of transportation. The trip to the Grand Floridian where 1900 Park Fare is located takes 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how long you have to wait for a monorail. The trip to the Contemporary where Chef Mickey's is located takes about 10 to 15 minutes. If you want to travel to Epcot, you can take the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then switch to the monorail that heads to Epcot from there.

Wishing you a magical first stay at the Polynesian! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're always happy to help!
