    I will be staying at the POFQ in September and would like to know what the customary tip for room-cleaning service is. Do I need to leave a tip each day? Where should I leave it so the staff knows it is meant for them? Thanks!!

    Hi Karen!

    While the amount you decide to leave is certainly up to you, I tend to base the gratuity on how much we "live" in the room. Since I know our children can be quite messy and we often require more towels and soaps, I usually leave $1 per person staying in the room per day as the tip. However, if your children are neater than mine, I think you'd be fine leaving a bit less.

    I've always opted to leave a daily tip, since you never know when the housekeepers may change schedules. We always like to make tip envelopes before we leave home. This can be plain white envelopes with stickers on them, or if you prefer, you can search the internet for "mousekeeping envelopes". I love to use templates on a site called Mouse for Less - just pick out what you'd like, print them, cut and fold. That's it!
