If we are staying at POFQ would it be a bad idea to have breakfast at the Cake Bake Shop before going to Hollywood Studios? We are hoping to eat and be at HS by 8:30.

    Welcome back to planDisney, Heather!

You have so many wonderful things rolled up into this question--I love how you think!

Heather, when we have an early morning goal while visiting Walt Disney World, I like to focus everything on that goal as the day's priority. While a sit-down breakfast at the absolutely gorgeous The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant is an outstanding idea, if you want to be at Disney's Hollywood Studios by 8:30 that morning, be aware that this could be a tight timeline.

Is it possible to do both? Yes. Get that first 7:00 AM reservation and tell your server that you are hoping to head out as soon as possible. They'll be happy to expedite whatever they can for you. However, if your goal is to take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests that day, you will have your eye on the clock throughout your meal. Another option is to consider heading to The Cake Bake Shop for a leisurely lunch or early dinner after your day of park fun. On a recent lunch visit, my husband and I really enjoyed the Choose Two option--both the French Onion Soup and Chicken Salad Croissant were delicious!

Of course, you could also opt for some tasty to-go breakfast items at The Cake Bake Shop Bakery, then enjoy them while heading to Hollywood Studios. Grab those goodies then take the walkway that leads directly to the park entrance. (Check out the map and look for the walkway that goes through Disney's BoardWalk Inn, cutting over past the Luna Park pool rather than going all the way around the resort. Much faster!)

You could also take a FriendShip Boat from Disney's BoardWalk or hop onto the nearby Disney Skyliner. Be aware, though, that the FriendShip Boat makes several stops along its route, and the Skyliner requires a transfer to a second line. So if you are able to use the walkway to the park, that's likely the fastest route.

Heather, as you put together your pixie-dusted plans for your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
