We are staying in the Park(Jan 22 to 26). I've read that for Magic Hours it is advisable to arrive 1 hour before the actual Magic opening hour. Is this true? If so, why? In general, how long does it take to get through the main gates of any park?

A big hello to a fellow Ontarian Christine! I'm a huge proponent of getting to the parks as close to opening as possible. I'm constantly amazed how much we get done in the early hours before it starts to get really crowded. That being said, I can't see myself ever being there an hour before Extra Magic Hours - that's early!!! The opening area can seem packed, but you'd be amazed how quickly everyone heads off in different directions. Except for the busiest days, like Christmas, I'd say 15 minutes before opening is fine.

Have fun Christine! Write back with any other questions!
